Endicott Water Customers Told Not to Use Service Overnight

Endicott residents are being advised the Water System is flushing the transmission mains to try to alleviate the problem with discolored water.

Customers should not use their water between 9 p.m. August 28 until 5 a.m. August 29.

Discolored water is likely in the system but mainly south of Pine Street.

Officials say customers should not use the water between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. so the discolored water can be removed from the lines.

Endicott Water System customers will not have to boil their water.  However, if there is still discoloration after 5 tomorrow morning, residents should run their cold, not hot, water until it clears before using.
