Endicott New York Man Apprehended By Law Enforcement In Pennsylvania
According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, An Endicott resident who was wanted on multiple felony charges for failing to register under the Sex Offender Registration Act was found and arrested in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
On April 1, 2024, after developing information on the whereabouts of Jessie J. Barnum, 40 of Endicott, Brome County Sheriff’s Warrants Division Deputies along with the United States Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force traveled to the greater Scranton area.
Barnum had evaded authorities for several weeks. Following a traffic stop of a van owned by an associate in the Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania area, he was found hiding under a blanket in the rear of the vehicle. Barnum was arrested and extradited to the Broome County and Town of Union courts.

The Broome County Sheriff's Office reported that Barnum was wanted on two separate counts of Failure to Register Under the Sex Offender Registration Act (Second Offense), Class D Felonies, and one count of Bail Jumping in the 2nd Degree, a Class E Felony.
He was first wanted out of Broome County Court for absconding from pre-trial probation on one of the Sex Offender charges but failed to register his address with the New York Sex Offender Registration.
An additional warrant was issued for his arrest out of the Town of Union Court and was charged with Bail Jumping in the 2nd Degree for his failure to appear in Broome County Court.
