19-year-old Ka-Vaughn Lowney and 20-year-old Dillon Kniffen are charged with felony grand larceny after authorities responded to a complaint about suspicious people going through cars on Elmhaven Drive at 3:24 A.M. December 26.  Police say there may be a third suspect at large.

Authorities were seen searching an area around the Rail Trail and Susquehanna River following the initial reports and patrols found two men getting into a vehicle illegally parked on the roadway who attempted to leave the area.

Police stopped the vehicle and found several items that had been stolen from vehicles in the area.

Lowney and Kniffen were sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Vestal Police at (607) 754-2111.
