Endicott Man Accused Of Choking Child
An Endicott man who worked at the Children's Home of Wyoming Conference has been accused of abusing a child in his care.
Authorities say 38-year-old Southchay Insyxiengmay of Robble Avenue was arrested after a state police investigation.
Insyxiengmay was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
According to the New York State Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs, the Children's Home employee allegedly had a "verbal altercation" with the child.
The child is said to have been pushed into bushes. Then, according to the complaint, Insyxiengmay put his hands around the boy's neck and choked him.
Insyxiengmay was issued an appearance ticket for Thursday to be arraigned in Fenton town court.
According to the announcement detailing the alleged incident, the worker was terminated by the Children's Home.
