The owners of an Endicott business that had to shut down after a vehicle slammed into its building are hoping to reopen the place as soon as possible.

An out-of-control car crashed into Endicott Food & Café at 19 Hayes Avenue around 8:15 p.m. November 3.

The southbound vehicle hit the north side of the small building that houses the café that had opened just two weeks earlier.

No serious injuries were reported as a result of the crash. Endicott police have not said whether the car driver was charged.

Co-owner Gias Mollah was inside the business when the vehicle hit the building, causing extensive damage to a wall.

On Friday, Mollah said plans are being made to rebuild the structure and then reopen. He doesn't know when the business might be able to resume operations but he said it probably will take a couple of months to get things ready.

Mollah said the owners worked for about eight months to get the building ready to open their business.
