New York State Police say a motorist who ran out of gas was found to have a blood alcohol level at more than twice the legal limit and was in possession of marijuana.

29 year old Laura Fassett of Homer was arrested after troopers checked on a disabled vehicle on Interstate 81 at 2:32 a.m. November 13.

Authorities say Fassett measured a blood alcohol content of .18%.

She was also found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Fassett was issued traffic tickets and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .18% and unlawful possession of marijuana.

She was sent to the Cortland County Jail on $500 bail.
