Drunk Driving Charged After Unadilla Field Ripped Up

A Unadilla man is charged with felony drunk driving after New York State Police say they got a called about an erratic driver on the Unadilla Community Field at around 11:45 p.m. April 30.

Officials accuse 38 year old Joseph Wilms of damaging grass on the field and driving away.

He was arrested in his driveway on Sperry Street.

Police say the drunk driving charge is a felony since Wilms had been convicted on two prior DWIs in the past ten years.

He also refused to submit a breath test.

Wilms was sent to the Otsego County Jail on $2,500 bail.
