70 Year Old Woman Jailed for DWI

A West Corners woman is being held in the Broome County Jail on two felony counts after authorities received numerous calls about a car being driven erratically.

New York State Police this morning say 70 year old Paula Hatala is charged with felony drunk driving and felony unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Troopers arrested the woman in the parking lot of the Weis Market on Day Hollow Road at 11:31 p.m. March 22 as an officer saw her getting out of her idling vehicle.

Authorities say they measured Hatala’s blood alcohol content at .15%, almost twice the legal limit.
