Driver Charged with Illegal Weapons Possession in J.C. Traffic Stop
A Town of Binghamton man is accused of having three illegal weapons in his possession during a traffic stop in the Village of Johnson City.
Police say they pulled over a vehicle on Main Street at 12:17 a.m. March 26 for a traffic violation. They say they found the driver, 48 year old Robert Randolph illegally had a dagger and a switch blade and another weapon, over two ounces of methamphetamine, wax wrappers containing heroin, drug paraphernalia and $2,300 in cash.
He’s charged with three felony counts of criminal possession of a weapon, felony criminal possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor drug possession and driving without a license. He was also ticketed for an inadequate muffler.
Passenger, 31 year old Audrey Criscitello of Johnson City is charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Randolph was sent to the Broome County Jail.
Criscitello was ordered to appear in Village Court later this month.
