I have had an amazing career in broadcasting that has spanned over 30 years and I feel truly blessed for the opportunities to be a voice in the Binghamton market.

After four years as the morning show host of 99.1 The Whale I was promoted to management in 2017 and Brand Manager of 98.1 The Hawk, which put me back on country music radio with the station that really gave me my start.

In all types of business there are budget cuts and downsizing, I have been in the witness chair many times when employees were let go, its not fun and the decisions are above us, so we don’t have a choice.

My position had been eliminated in 2018 and for the first time in my entire radio career, I was let go.

I never took it personal, and I was determined to continue my career, and confident that I could somehow continue my career in broadcast media, two months later I was hired back with Townsquare Media as a part time employee.

I said in the previous article that many times your career path is chosen for you, and this past spring, I was asked if I would consider taking over for Roger Neel as Brand Manager of WNBF and WYOS, and host of First News Binghamton on WNBF.

This is an amazing opportunity and a chance to be a part of a radio station that holds the pulse of this community.

Roger Neel is a one of a kind treasure, he can never be replaced, and taking over for him will be a difficult task, but it is one I am honored to take on.

I look forward to getting to know all of the WNBF listeners and to continue the strong commitment to our community.

And now a new chapter for the little boy who dreamed of being on the radio.

Thank You!
