Dog Walker Arrested in the Town of Union

A dog walker is in jail after mistakenly setting off an alarm at a home on Newell Road in the Town of Union.

Broome County Sheriff’s officials say it turns out 55 year old Henry Church of New York City was wanted on a parole warrant.

Authorities say Church set off the alarm while leaving the house with two dogs then reportedly provided the deputy with two different birth dates when asked to repeat when he was born.

Church is charged with false personation in addition to the parole warrant.
