Where a crowd estimated at around 1,000 gathered May 31, dozens gathered a week later to discuss housing, criminal justice, substance abuse and education issues facing the underserved minority population.

Organizers were calling the gathering the “Black Lives Matter Community Action Plan” with the individual groups lead by facilitators coordinating the discussions and taking notes.

Those notes are to be presented to elected leaders at some point.
