A Deposit man who was accused of being in a group of people stabbing two men outside the Johnson City McDonald’s just before Christmas is back in custody.

31-year-old Chris Nugent was featured here March 21 as Broome’s weekly warrant.  Officials with the Broome County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Division and the Highway Patrol Division followed several leads through the Town of Union and City of Binghamton and tracked Nugent down to an apartment on Court Street in Binghamton March 24 where he was hiding.

He was sent to the Broome County Jail.

Nugent was charged along with 22-year-old Dane Edwards, 33-year-old Jay Moore and 24-year-old Travis Dise with gang assault in the attack December 20 that left two men seriously hurt.  A fifth Deposit man, 26-year-old Tyler DeCamp was charged with two felony attempted murder counts.
