Pair Wanted for Car Theft Turned In at McDonalds

Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]New York State Police say they have nabbed the pair they had been looking for in connection with the theft of a vehicle and who fled Troopers.

Authorities say 28 year old Ryan Markoff of Windsor and Angela Weyrauch of Hancock were arrested after they were seen at a McDonald’s in Whitney Point by a citizen who alerted authorities.

Markoff is charged with grand larceny and Weyrauch is charged with criminal possession of stolen property.

Police tried to stop the pair December 27 then got a report of a vehicle in a ditch January 8 and the pair fled.

Both were sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.

Authorities say their investigation is continuing and more charges are pending.
