The Columbia Lions scored the only goal of the match and played outstanding defense the rest of the way holding the Bearcats to just seven total shots on the way to a 1-0 victory.  The contest's only tally came from Alex Bangeri at the eleven minute mark of the first half.

The win keeps Columbia undefeated and moves their record to 3-0-2.  The Bearcats stand at 2-4-1.  The match was played in front of a Family Weekend crowd of 1,467 at the Bearcats Sports Complex.

Next up for the Bearcats is a trip to Buffalo to face Canisius on Saturday evening.  The next home date for the Bearcats is Saturday October 7 versus UMBC at 6 PM.
