Cocaine and Marijuana Found in Norwich Traffic Stop
Chenango County Sheriff’s officials say a Sidney man is charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance following a search of his Jeep during a traffic stop October 2.
52 year old Jason Babcock is accused of having about 6 grams of cocaine, marijuana and an open container of alcohol in the vehicle when he was stopped at around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of County Route 32 and Bourbon Street in Norwich.
Babcock is charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and several vehicle and traffic law violations.
He was ordered to appear in Town of Norwich Curt at a later date.
