The South Central Group Civil Air Patrol, which moved operations to the Greater Binghamton Airport earlier this year, now has put a Cessna airplane at the Town of Maine facility.  The Cessna 182 will be used to support the Civil Air Patrol’s Cadet Programs, Aerospace Education and Emergency Services missions.

The Civil Air Patrol help in search and rescue operations, including searches by air, disaster relief and searches for drugs.

Officials say the South Central Group currently is in need of volunteer pilots who are interested in future missions.  For more information go to www.gocivilairpatrol.com/cap_home/pilots.
