The Town of Union and other municipalities are starting to collect Christmas trees that are already being kicked to the curb.

Trees will be collected at Highland, Glendale, William Hill and Choconut Center Parks for recycling.

People can also take trees to the Broome County Landfill.

Residents are asked not to leave plastic bags on trees.

Union’s collection goes through January 31.

Many other municipalities are picking up trees curb-side.  All decorations, including tinsel, should be removed.
