A Chenango forks woman is being held without bail in the Broome County Jail after Sheriff's Deputies say they saw a hypodermic needle in plain view protruding from her purse as she rode in a car they stopped for a loud exhaust on Upper Front Street in the Town of Chenango at 1:57 a.m. December 10.

Authorities say they also found 24 year old Melinda Sutton was wanted in another county, tried to use her sister's name when asked her identity and was in possession of psilocybin mushrooms, cocaine, methamphetamines and two different kinds of controlled substance prescription pills.

Sutton is charged with felony criminal possession of a hallucinogen, three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and impersonation of another person.
