The Vermont Catamounts visit the Binghamton Bearcats Wednesday night at 7 PM (6:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF) in men's basketball at the Events Center.  The Catamounts are off to a good start going 2-0 in the first week of America East play.  Overall they are 12-5 and are riding a four-game winning streak.  The Bearcats are 0-2 in conference play and 9-8 overall.  The nine wins are one more than BU had all of last season.

The Catamounts spread their scoring around with 6-8 forward Payton Henson leading the offense with 12.8 points per game.  6-6 forward Anthony Lamb is right behind Henson averaging 11 points per game and Trae Bell-Haynes checks in with 10.6 points per outing.

Binghamton is led by Willie Rodriguez with 12.9 points per game.  Rodriguez is an America East Pre-Season All-Conference selection and averaged 15 points per game last season.  Bobby Ahearn is second in team scoring with an average of 9.2 points per game.  America East Rookie of the Week Fard Muhammad is scoring at a 7.3 points per game clip.

The teams split the home and home series last year. Overall Vermont holds a 28-8 advantage in the series.  The Bearcats travel to Durham, New Hampshire Saturday to face the Wildcats at Lundholm Gymnasium at 1 PM.
