Police: Byrne Dairy Worker Stole $64,000 in Lottery Tickets
Authorities say a woman who was employed by Byrne Dairy has been accused of stealing thousands of New York state lottery tickets.
According to state police, 45-year-old Carrie Lisi of Fulton has been charged with second-degree grand larceny.
Lisi has been accused of stealing 2,319 "Instant Scratch-Off" lottery tickets from the Byrne Dairy convenience store on County Route 57 in Phoenix.
Investigators say the tickets had a retail value of $64,818. The thefts allegedly occurred between June and January.
Lisi was arraigned in Oswego City Court and released on her own recognizance.
A state police news release indicated the New York State Gaming Commission assisted with the investigation. No information was released on what prompted the investigation or how the tickets were stolen.
