
BU Women Play High-Flying Hawks in West Hartford
The Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team is on the road tonight to meet the Hartford Hawks at 7:00 PM at the Chase Family Arena in West Hartford. Hartford is in second place in America East with a conference record of 12-2. The Bearcats are 7-7 and in fifth place in conference standings.
In a previous meeting this season at the Events Center on January 30 the Bearcats defeated the Hawks 73-62. In the all-time series Hartford holds a 28-12 advantage. BU's last win in Hartford was in 2016.
Hartford has won three consecutive games and defeated UMass Lowell 69-45 on Saturday. Binghamton is also coming off of a win topping Vermont in Burlington on Saturday afternoon 59-50.
Rebecca Carmody continues to pace America East in rebounding with 7.9 boards per game. In Binghamton's win against Hartford earlier this season Carmody scored 16 points.
The Bearcats return home to close out the regular season on Saturday with a noon start. The Bearcats have clinched a playoff spot but will open the post-season on the road. Albany clinched a home playoff opener earlier today (Wednesday) with a 78--63 victory over New Hampshire.
