The Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team hosts New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) at the Events Center today (Sunday) at 2 PM (1:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).

The Bearcats are 5-4 and off to their best start over nine games since the 2011-12 campaign.  The Highlanders are members of the Atlantic Sun Conference and have an 0-9 record entering their game with Binghamton.

In the Bearcats last game on Thursday at Bryant BU posted a 55-47 victory.  Imani Watkins paced the attack with 19 points.  NJIT lost to Lehigh on Wednesday night.

In three previous meetings the Bearcats hold a 2-1 record.  It is the second meeting between the two teams at the Events Center.

Alyssa James continues to be one of the top defenders at the Division I level.  James leadings Division I with 4.89 blocks per game.

Following Binghamton's game vs NJIT the Bearcats are idle until Monday, December 18 when they travel to Cornell for a game against the Big Red.  Tipoff is set for 7 PM.  Air for that game is 6:45 PM.
