The Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team faces a big test today (Saturday) at the Events Center when the Maine Black Bears visit for a 1 PM game.  Binghamton has won four straight and comes in with a record of 6-3.  The Black Bears are 7-2 and directly above the Bearcats in the America East standings.  Albany leads the conference with an 8-1 record.

BU defeated the Black Bears 66-62 in overtime last month.  Maine has the edge in the all-time series 21-14.  The Black Bears are led in scoring by Blanca Millan who is scoring at a 17.7 points per game clip.  Imani Watkins tops not only the Bearcats but the entire conference averaging 22.1 points per game.  Alyssa James continues her standout season leading the conference in rebounding with an average of 9.9 per outing.  She also tops America East in blocks with 3.68 per game.
