BU Women Head to Albany in America East Playoffs

The Binghamton University women's basketball team heads to Albany to face the Great Danes on Wednesday night at 7:00 P.M. at the SEFCU Arena.  Airtime with Cam Lavallee is 6:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF. The game is an America East quarterfinal game and pits the fourth seed Great Danes against the fifth place Bearcats.The Bearcats finished with a conference slate of 7-9 while the Great Danes wrapped up their conference schedule at 9-7.

Albany won both regular season games with Binghamton by scores of 61-56 at Albany and 71-62 at the Events Center.  Rebecca Carmody was a standout in both games.  She netted 22 points at Albany and 17 in Vestal and teammate Kai Moon scored 20 points at BU.

Other quarterfinal round playoffs include:

#8 New Hampshire at #1 Maine

#7 UMBC at #2 Hartford and

#6 Vermont at #3 Stony Brook.

A Bearcat victory in Albany would advance Binghamton to the semifinal round on Sunday afternoon.
