The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team came from  behind to erase a 10 point halftime deficit and defeat Sacred Heart University 51-48 in Fairfield, Connecticut.  It was Binghamton's seventh straight win...the most for a Binghamton team since the 2008-09 season when the Bearcats won 11 straight on the way to the America East Championship.

Binghamton trailed 33-23 at the end of the first half.  Repeated comeback efforts fell short until J.C.Show nailed a three-point shot with 1:36 to go in the game. Binghamton's  defense shut down the Pioneers the rest of the way to earn the road victory.  Show scored 14 of his 21 points in the second half.

The Bearcats amped up their defense in the second half and outscored Sacred Heart 28-15 in the second 20 minutes.  Binghamton held the Pioneers to 28 percent shooting from the field in the second half.  The last basket scored by Sacred Heart came with 9:16 left in the game. The Pioneers missed their last 15 shots in the game.

The Bearcats play their third straight road game on Tuesday night when they travel to University Park to meet the Penn State Nittany Lions.  The game begins at 7 PM.  Coverage begins at 6:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
