The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team heads to Albany to meet the Great Danes Wednesday night at 7:00 PM at the SEFCU Arena.  BU is 8-13 and 2-6 in America East while Albany is 12-11 and 5-3 in conference play.

The Great Danes and Bearcats met last month at the Events Center with Albany posting a 74-62 victory.  Sam Sessoms led the Bearcats with 22 points while Brenton Mills scored 17 points and Pierre Sarr chipped in with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Great Danes and Bearcats rivalry goes back to Division III days.  Since the teams moved to Division I in 2001 the Great Danes hold a 24-14 edge.

Binghamton had its bye weekend and in the last game played fell to Hartford on the road 73-57. Albany dropped an 86-75 decision to Vermont on Saturday.  High-scoring guards Ahmad Clark and Cameron Healy scored 22 points each to lead the Great Danes in scoring.

Heading into Wednesday's game Sam Sessoms leads America East with 4.5 assists per game.  He is third in the conference in scoring averaging 18.2 points per game.  George Tinsley is fourth in the nation in minutes played per game averaging 38:12 per game.  He is also third in America East in rebounding with 7.8 boards per game and fifth in blocks at 1.1 per contest.
