With the worst weather in the Southern Tier since late Spring the Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team is headed out on a four-game road trip to Florida.  Yes, timing couldn't be better for an escape from winter-like weather.  The question is will the snowy weather accompanied by high winds let the team escape.  Binghamton is scheduled to fly out of Syracuse early Monday morning and as bad as the weather is here it is predicted to be worse in and around Syracuse.

The Bearcats will play Ave Maria, an NAIA school on Tuesday night at 7 PM (air at 6:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  Ave Maria was built by the founder of Domino's pizza, Tom Monaghan.  The nearest city is Naples.  Monaghan owned the Detroit Tigers from 1983 to 1992.

From Ave Maria the Bearcats travel to face Florida Gulf Coast on Wednesday night and then stay in Fort Myers to meet Long Beach State on Thanksgiving night.  Binghamton then heads to Miami and will meet Florida International on Sunday evening before returning home on Monday night.  All of those games are 7:00 PM starts.
