The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team knows they need a road win when they face the Maine Black Bears in Bangor, Maine on Saturday afternoon.  The Black Bears defeated the Bearcats 76-73 in BU's conference opener on January 6th at the Events Center.  Maine won its second conference game against New Hampshire 69-68 to put their record at 2-7.  In their last outing UMass Lowell rolled to an 88-64 win over the Black Bears on Wednesday night.

The Bearcats are 1-8 with the lone conference win over rival Albany 79-66.  On Wednesday night they fell to conference leader Vermont by a final of 68-54.  Binghamton's offense has gotten a boost from redshirt freshman Tyler Stewart who has hit double figures in his last two games including a dozen against Vermont.

The Black Bears are keyed by Aaron Calixte who is averaging 16 points per game and among the best in free throws at 88 percent.  Saturday's game will be broadcast on News Radio 1290 WNBF with coverage beginning at 12:45 PM.
