A town of Chenango man accused of having sex with a young child has been reported missing.

Authorities say 54-year-old Paul Terwilliger was arrested April 29 on a felony charge of course of sexual conduct against a child.

Terwilliger, who was released on bail, was reported missing just over a week later.

The Broome County Sheriff's Office coordinated an extensive search for Terwilliger last Thursday near his Chenango Bridge home but he wasn't found.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Terwilliger.

Sheriff David Harder is asking anyone with information on where Terwilliger may be to call 607.778.1196.

Speaking on WNBF Radio's Binghamton Now program, Harder said wooded areas, streams and ponds were searched but "we have no idea where he is."
