A mistake at a vaccine production facility in Maryland a few weeks ago where some ingredients between the J&J batch and a vaccine from another company, also being manufactured at the plant, got mixed , spoiled some 15-million doses of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine.

New York State officials say they hope the production issues can be resolved as soon as possible and shipment rates ramped back up.

New York currently reports about one in four residents have gotten at least the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.  1.4 million doses were administered in the state last week.
