Broome Inmate Accused in Murder/Kidnap Hiring Scheme
An inmate at the Broome County Jail being held for kidnapping is accused of hiring someone to commit more crimes.
Broome County Sheriff’s officials say they started monitoring 48-year-old Harold Cole for three months after he was accused of violating an order of protection in his kidnapping case.
During that time, Cole is accused of hiring someone else to commit multiple kidnappings and murders.
He is charged with a total of four felony counts of conspiracy.
He remains in the custody of the Broome County Sheriff’s Correctional Facility.
The authorities did not offer any specifics about the kidnappings and murders that Cole is accused of hiring someone to orchestrate.
