Investigators say 56-year-old Thomas Brick of Chenango Forks is accused of entering into an agreement for a repair project at a mobile home in March of last year.

According to state police, Brick received a down payment but never started to do the work. The alleged fraud incident was reported in September.

Brick was charged with third-degree grand larceny and petit larceny.

Police say Brick is being held at the state correctional facility at Gowanda in Erie County. Records indicate he entered the prison on September 1 to serve a sentence for a felony DWI conviction.

Brick was transported to Chenango County court for his arraignment before being returned to the prison in western New York. His next court date is pending.
