In the world of sports, baseball is winding down toward the post-season, football has begun for college and high school teams, and pro football starts this week. It's an exciting time for sports enthusiasts.

Hockey and basketball season is not far behind. And on the subject of basketball, Binghamton University has just announced the men's non-conference basketball schedule for the 2024-25 season.

The Bearcat men will open their season at home in the Events Center, on Wednesday, October 30th with an exhibition game against Queens College.

The BU men's team will then travel to State College, Pennsylvania to face the Penn State Nittany Lions on Monday, November 4th. Binghamton's regular season home opener at the Events Center will be on Thursday, November 7th, hosting SUNY Oneonta.

Other high-profile non-conference games will include a visit to the University of Miami on Sunday, November 10th, and then at Fordham on Tuesday, November 12.
Binghamton's six-game home non-conference slate will include a match-up against Longwood, Virginia, the defending Big South Conference champions, and NCAA Tournament participant on Tuesday, November 19th.
The BU Bearcat men will play three games at the Lafayette Tournament from November 29th through December 1st. On December 7th, the team will play at Le Moyne, and then host two games at the Events Center -  Lancaster Bible College on December 15th and Mercyhurst University on December 18th.
Rounding out the month of December will be two road games -  Army on December 22nd and Marist on December 29th.
In all, the Bearcats will play 15 non-conference games. As for the America East Conference schedule, that will be announced later this month (September) with 16 games on the slate.
