Binghamton Seeks Proposal for Historic South Side Building
The City of Binghamton is looking for ideas for a historic, mixed-use property that has been sitting empty and deteriorating for years.
Proposals for the rehabilitation of 92 Park Avenue will be accepted until 4 p-m August 5.
The property on the South Side of Binghamton was built in the late 1800s and has been everything from a cobbler’s shop to a bookstore and housing.
Individuals, businesses or non-profits interested in saving the building that has become a source of blight on a heavily traveled street must complete a two-page questionnaire about how they intend to use the property, proposed timeline, cost, and plans for getting funding and moving forward with rehabilitation.

Responses should be submitted as a PDF by email to jmberling@cityofbinghamton.com.
For information, contact the Department of Planning at (607) 772-7028.
