It doesn't have to be Monday to enjoy a gourmet burger at Burger Mondays.

As Binghamton Restaurant Week gets underway, you might wonder what a vegetarian is doing at a stylish burger restaurant at the corner of State and Henry Streets in Downtown Binghamton.

Well, Burger Mondays has several offerings to satisfy a vegetarian or pescitarian (someone will also eat seafood).

The offering on the select entrees for the Restaurant Week three-course meal at a set price included a falafel burger that was a delight.  After a start of a generous Caesar Salad it was time for a heaping plate-full of hand-cut, skin-on crispy French fries and the falafel patty dressed with vegetables on the bottom bun and topped with the house-made hot sauce.  They aren't kidding about hot sauce, but the refreshing diced vegetables in the sandwich balanced everything out.

Top it all off with a peach, berry spice cake and you get a new meaning to "fala-FULL!)

My dining partner started with a Guinness chili, followed by Burger Monday's signature burger, which he raved about and he also enjoyed the spice cake treat.

If you've never tried Burger Mondays, its worth checking out, especially at the bargain price during Binghamton Restaurant Week.

A portion of the proceeds from Restaurant Week this time benefit the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse (CHOW) and TruthPharm.
