Binghamton Police Respond to ‘Shots Fired’ Reports Again
City of Binghamton Police are again investigating reports of shots fired in the City, a little over 24-hours after a First Ward home was hit by gunfire.
Authorities were called to the area of 11 Maple Street, near Prospect Street shortly before 1 a.m. December 15.
Police were unable to provide any details concerning the reported incident until Detectives are available to comment, possibly later in the day.
There were no initial reports of injuries and the situation was not believed to pose a public safety threat.
Sunday night, shots were fired on Hazel Street where Police found a house was hit by gunfire and several shell casings were found on the street. There were no injuries. That investigation is also continuing.
