Police Chief John Ryan said two men have been taken into custody as suspects in the assault, which followed "some type of conflict."

Ryan said the other man sustained "serious stab wounds" in the attack.

The Burger King is located across the street from Cotton Mouth Dispensary, a licensed cannabis retailer that opened in January 2025.

The Burger King was closed for several hours because of the police activity. A manager said the restaurant opened at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

The investigation into the stabbing is continuing. People with information may contact the Binghamton police detective division at 607-772-7080.
