Authorities say no arrests have been made following a reported stabbing incident in Binghamton.

According to FOX 40 News, city police officers were sent to the area of Oak and Elm streets in the First Ward around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday.

A man reportedly had been stabbed in the chest. Two people who were suspected of being involved in the incident were said to have left the scene in a car.

A section of Oak Street was closed for a few hours as officers and investigators interviewed people in the neighborhood.

Binghamton police detectives were not available to discuss what happened or what information they have developed regarding possible suspects.
