The Binghamton Bearcats make the ten-hour or longer bus trip to Maine this weekend to meet the Black Bears and open up the America East conference schedule for both teams.  BU comes in with a record of 3-10 while Maine is just 2-10. The game is set for Sunday at 4:30 PM and will be played at the Cross Insurance Center in  Bangor.

These two teams have met 26 times with each side winning 13 games.  Last year Binghamton High grad Jimmy Gray hit a three-pointer with two seconds left in the game to give the Bearcats a 57-56 victory in Orono.  Maine returned the favor topping the Bearcats at the Events Center 64-60 less than a month later.

Xavier Pollard leads Maine in scoring with 16.7 points per game while Dimitry Coronel is right behind with a 15.7 point per game average.  Jordan Reed continues to pace BU averaging 16.1 points per game.  He also is averaging 8.9 rebounds per contest.

Binghamton hopes to get back three injured players for the game.  Alex Ogundadegbe and Yosef Yacob were dressed for the game versus St. Joseph's but did not play.  Junior Rob Mansell is coming back from a bruised knee and is hopeful of seeing action Sunday.

Sunday's game will be broadcast on News Radio 1290 WNBF beginning at 4:15 PM.  The Bearcats return home for two in a row following the Maine game.  They will host New Hampshire on Thursday, January 9th and UMass-Lowell next Saturday, January 11th at 4:30 at the Events Center.
