The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team met the University of Maryland Baltimore County Retrievers.  Both teams are 1-6 in the conference.  The teams split two meetings last season with Binghamton capturing a 72-70 decision in suburban Baltimore last February.

Both teams have suffered through crucial injuries that have hampered their play.  Last season's American East Rookie of the Year, Rodney Elliott, suffered a season-ending shoulder injury after just one game this year.  Binghamton is without their leading scorer in Dusan Perovic who also had his season ended prematurely with surgery to repair a torn ACL.  Another top Bearcat gun, Nick Madray, is still on the shelf recovering from a severe ankle sprain and torn ligaments in his ankle after scoring 20 points against St Bonaventure on December 20th.

The Bearcats return to the Events Center to host UMass Lowell January 31.  This will mark the beginning of the second half of the America East conference schedule.
