Organizers say they expect two to three thousand riders and spectators at the events at the dirt track inside the former Grippen Ice Rink.

The Gold Cup Series involves a rider counting their best scores from the qualifiers plus the scores from the Gold Cup Final with the top three riders in each region winning the Gold Cup Racing Plate.

This is the 9th year the Gold Cup BMX Qualifier East of the Mississippi has been held in Endicott.

April 13 is the Race For Life event that raises money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

The weekend caps off Sunday with an expected 600 riders at the Gold Cup Qualifier.

The three day-event has a wider impact on the area outside of racing.  Organizers say BMX families spend an average 500-dollars a weekend during such events.
