The Binghamton Bearcats had their seven-game winning streak broken at Penn State University Tuesday night falling to the Nittany Lions 80-65.  Penn State led for most of the game but the Nittany Lions were only up 39-36 at the end of the first half.

Penn State started the second half with five points in the first 49 seconds and never looked back.  The Bearcats whittled the lead down several times but Penn State always answered.  It was the first ever meeting between the two schools in men's basketball.

The loss snapped Binghamton's longest winning streak since the 2008-09 championship season.  The Bearcats' record falls to 8-5 while Penn State moves to 10-3.

J.C.Show led the Bearcats with 13 points while Tyler Stuart added 12.  Thomas Bruce just missed a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds.  Penn State had five players in double figures and was led by Lamar Stevens with 16 points.  The Nittany Lions shot 57 percent from the field and went 10-17 from three point range for a blistering 59 percent.

Binghamton has two more non-conference games coming up with both at the Events Center.  The Bearcats host LIU Brooklyn at 7 PM Friday night and don't play again until Saturday, December 30th when they host Elmira at 4 PM.
