The Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team edged the New Hampshire Wildcats Saturday afternoon at the Events Center 51-50 on a put-back bucket scored by freshman Rebecca Carmody as time ran out on the second half clock.  Kim Albrecht took the initial shot...a three-pointer that hit the rim.  Carmody grabbed the rebound and beat the clock to give BU the win.

The win evens Binghamton's conference record at 1-1.  It was the America East opener for New Hampshire.  The win keeps the Bearcats unbeaten at the Events Center at 6-0.  BU's overall record is 6-9.  The Wildcats are 6-8 overall.

Imani Watkins led the Bearcats with 20 points, nine rebounds, four assists and five steals. Albrecht added 13 points while Alyssa James scored 12 points, had nine rebounds and added five blocks.

The Bearcats play their next game at Hartford on Wednesday night.  Air for the 7:00 game is 6:45 on ESPN 1360 AM WYOS.
