The Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team used a strong second half to post a victory against the Stony Brook Seawolves last night at the Events Center by a score of 54-47.  Binghamton trailed 20-17 at the end of the first half but outscored the Seawolves 37-27 in the second half to raise their America East record to 5-4.  The Seawolves fall to 6-3.

The Bearcats were led by sophomore guard Imani Watkins who scored 17 points.  Rebecca Carmody also hit for double figures with 12 points.  Kim Albrecht picked up nine points as she went 9 for 9 at the foul line.

Stony Brook's Davion Wingate led all scorers with 19 points.  Coming into last night's game the Seawolves were averaging 62.5 points which is second in America East.

The Bearcats play their next two games on the road.  Saturday, Binghamton travels to New Hampshire for a 1:00 PM start.  Air is 12:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF. The Bearcats then play at Albany on Monday night.
