The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team needs at least one road win in the last two games of the regular season to have any hopes of gaining an America East playoff berth.  The Bearcats are 3-11 and the team they still have a chance to overtake for eighth place, the Maine Black Bears are 3-10.  The top eight teams earn a playoff spot and right now the Black Bears have that spot.

Binghamton travels to suburban Baltimore to meet the UMBC Retrivers on Wednesday night.  Following that game the Bearcats return home to practice on Thursday and then head to Durham, New Hampshire for a 1:00 PM game at the University of New Hampshire on Saturday in the regular season finale for BU.

The Black Bears have a 3-10 conference record with three games to go. They host New Hampshire on Wednesday night, host UMBC on Saturday afternoon and travel to Hartford next Tuesday to conclude the regular season.  Should Binghamton and Maine finish with identical conference records Maine would earn the playoff spot by winning both regular season meetings.
