The Binghamton Bearcats baseball and softball teams are in the hunt for America East championships.  Currently Tim Sinicki's baseball team is 12-3 in America East and is in first place.  Michelle Burrell's softball team is hot on the heels of first-place Albany.  The Bearcats finished a sweep of third-place Stony Brook over the weekend and are in second place in the conference. The Great Danes are 9-1 while BU is 10-2.

In baseball the Bearcats have the edge over Stony Brook which posts a 7-3 slate and third-place Hartford with a record of 8-7.  Binghamton hosts non-conference foe New York Institute of Technology this weekend at the Bearcats Sports Complex.  Next up on the America East slate is Stony Brook as the Seawolves visit for a three-game series on May 7 and 8.

BU softball travels to the University at Buffalo Wednesday for a doubleheader in non-conference action.  A big weekend looms as the Bearcats travel to Albany for three key games this weekend with first place and the right to host the America East conference tournament on the line.
