The Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team challenged the America East conference's number one team to the closing minutes but came up short and fell to the New Hampshire Wildcats 76-69 in Durham on Sunday.  The victory puts New Hampshire's record at 11-1 in the conference  and 21-4 overall.  Binghamton falls to 7-6 in America East and 12-14 overall.

Carlie Pogue led all scorers with 32 points and 17 rebounds in keying the Wildcats' win.  Binghamton had three players score in double figures.  Rebecca Carmody fired in 18 points and Imani Watkins finished with 17 points.  Carly Boland also hit for double figures with ten points for the Bearcats.

Binghamton is now in fifth place in the conference standings one game behind fourth place Maine.  The Bearcats are home for two of their three remaining regular season games.  Binghamton hosts Stony Brook at 4 PM on Saturday, hosts Hartford at 7 PM on Thursday, February 23 and then travels to Maine at 1 PM on Sunday, February 26 to close out the regular season.
