The Binghamton Bearcats basketball teams are facing UMass Lowell this (Saturday) afternoon.  Both games can be heard on News Radio 1290 WNBF.  The women are at the Events Center for a 2:00 PM start versus the River Hawks.  After a road loss at Albany the Bearcats roared back for a road win at UMBC.  The River Hawks come into the game with a record of.

The men follow with a 5:30 tipoff at the Tsongas Center in Lowell.  The River Hawks and Bearcats are both 1-1 in conference play.  Overall the River Hawks are 7-10 while BU is 7-8.  In the Bearcats win over UMBC Brenton Mills led all scorers with 22 points while Sam Sessoms hit for 20 points.  Sessoms leads Binghamton's offense averaging 19.3 points per outing.

The River Hawks are paced by a pair of outstanding offensive threats.  Christian Lutete averages 20 points per game while Obadiah Noel is scoring at a 16.6 points per game clip.  Noel is this week's America East Player of the Week.

UMass Lowell has a 12-5 edge in the series.  Last season Binghamton defeated the River Hawks 81-66 at the Costello Center in Lowell.
