Bearcats Face Retrievers
Both Binghamton University basketball teams are in action tonight (Wednesday) as they meet the UMBC Retrievers. The men are home for a 7 PM start and the women also play the Retrievers in Baltimore at 7 PM.
In the men's game Binghamton looks to pay back the Retrievers for an 85-71 defeat in Baltimore on January 5th. The Retrievers enter the game with an overall record of 14-7 and 5-3 in America East. They are coming off of a thrilling double overtime win at home against the New Hampshire Wildcats. The Bearcats are now 12-11 overall and 3-5 in conference play. After an 0-5 start BU has won its last three outings.
At the RAC on campus at UMBC the Retrievers host the Bearcat women.
They will look to avenge Binghamton's 69-62 victory on January 4th at the Events Center. Following a 58-52 win over Maine on Saturday the Bearcats are 5-3 in conference action and tied for second place.
UMBC is 4-4 in America East competition following a loss to first-place New Hampshire on Saturday. The Bearcats lead the all-time series 18-11. The men's game will be broadcast beginning at 6:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF. The women's game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio 1360 AM also beginning at 6:45.
